There have been many books written about the Mulberry Harbours and several video tapes. But, this feat of civil engineering that was key to the D-Day Landings has suffered from a singular problem - it was

TOP SECRET

Visual records were very few and far between and in many cases restricted to artist's impressions. The photographic records that exist are necessarily black and white and very grainy.

We have gone back to the archive material and with help from the last surviving designer on the project, Allan Beckett, recreated all the structures in CAD. This includes not only external appearance but also internal fittings with an in-depth understanding of how they worked. From this unique foundation of information we have created a multimedia CD that will appeal to anyone with an interest in the D-Day Landings or the design of portable ports and Ro-Ro Terminals..

The CD has three layers:-

Overview
- This is an easy to understand story of the whole project from Churchill's memo to the Great Storm. It is illustrated with original still photographs, video, CAD renditions and animations.

Technical Detail - From the Overview the viewer can delve into the expanded technical detail. This is aided by annotated illustrations, cut-aways and further animations.

Archive Material - For the intrepid viewer we are also including for examination copies of archive material from the project together with biographies of key people.

This CD is now available to purchase for the price of £20.00 inclusive of VAT plus £1.25 postage and packing.
